This week, PopConversation takes a look at 3 noteworthy videos from Singapore that showcase our creativity, uncover a light-hearted side to the locals and also demonstrates our propensity for thrills and adventure.
1) Stop Motion - Singapore by Menginitis
At over 31,000 views and 555 likes, the imaginative trio Meng, Jonathan and Billy have created one of the more inspired artistic video projects on the Singapore Youtube. The stopmotion film clocks in at a little over 2 minutes and it shows the 3 Singaporean design students transiting through Esplanade and Marina Bay area in style.
Youtuber Meng has also documented the process of the shoot on his blog, Project Meng. It's an interesting read and if anything, we hope that these talented youths will inspire many more people to embark on creative projects of their own and share them with the world.
2) Christmas Photobombing by TeamBodyNits
If this delightful and cheeky video of a flashmob (organised by Team bods.bodynits) photobombing unsuspecting shoppers in the city was any indication, Singaporeans really do know how to have fun; and at over 40,000 views, 207 likes and many positive feedbacks, it appears that the Youtube audiences share the same sentiments.

3) Base Jumping off Marina Bay Sands by TheMarinaBaySands
On the first of January 2012, 6 base jumpers leapt off the top of the world's most expensive standalone integrated casino hotel (a.k.a Marina Bay Sands) and they've generated a considerable amount of interest among the locals online with their video featuring their daring endeavour.
The video captures the jumps from several thrilling angles from cameras placed at different spots of Marina Bay Sands; the exhiliration of leaping off the tall structure was also represented through a first person point of view through the jumpers' helmets- it's quite a sight to behold.
