When a popular song gets published on Youtube, many musicians rush in to make their own version of the music and put their own style and spin to it- the act of doing so is commonly known as covering a song. Super Bass is arguably one of the most popular songs by American musician, Nicki Minaj. The bubbly and catchy style of the single was an instant hit with the viewers on Youtube, and to date, it's music video has been viewed a whooping 215,059,727 times.
Local 4 piece funk and acoustic pop band, Diversed Attentions, does a really competent job re-producing Nicki Minaj's melodies with a good level of energy and sass! Their cover's netted 1,864 views in the short span of 3 days and occupies the 25th position in Youtube's "Most View Today".
2) Somone Like You/Halo Mashup (Cover by Dee Kosh)

Adele's runaway success with her soulful ballad, Someone Like You, has inspired hundreds of different song covers by Youtubers all around the world. The critically acclaimed song, in which she sings about ending her relationship with her ex-boyfriend, received praise from many different media publications, including the British's Daily Newspaper, The Guardian, where the editors lauded it as a gorgeous melody.
Local internet celebrity and musician, Dee Kosh, expertly combines this soulful tune with Beyonce's Halo for a cover that's genuinely lovely.
3) Defying Gravity from musical "Wicked" (Cover by Inch Chua)

"Defying Gravity" is the signature tune from the record breaking musical "Wicked". The broadway song has been performed on popular musical comedy-drama television series, Glee, and it's also recorded in several other theatrical productions.
Singaporean songstress (who's now living in the States) Inch Chua, does a pitch perfect cover of "Defying Gravity" with her friend, IanMan.
4) Price Tag by Jessie J (Cover by Ko Xinyi)

"Price Tag", released early last year in 2011, is a song by English singer and songwriter, Jessie J. The song was charted at no. 1 in over 10 countries and it remains the British songstress's biggest hit single to date.
On Youtube, it's music video featuring American rapper B.o.B, has garnered 180,400,077 views since it's publication 11 months ago.
Ko Xinyi, under her Youtube moniker of TalkToTheWalls, delivers an endearing rendition of Price Tag. She's received many positive feeback for her cover, strangely enough the majority of which comes from Thailand.
5) Jar Of Hearts by Christina Perri (Cover by Dominic Chin featuring Dee Kosh)
Statistics: 29,490 views, 601 likes
"Jar of Hearts" is the first single by songwriter and singer Christina Perri. Upon it's release onto iTune, "Jar of Hearts" rose to the top 20 spot in 7 days, eventually achieving double platinum and a total of 47,500 downloads. Christina Perri's music video has over 55 million views on Youtube to date.
Local Youtube musicians, Dominic Chin and Dee Kosh, collaborate for an arresting cover of the pop ballad and it's proven to be very popular among the people online, with over 29 thousand views.
